Appearance: Not quite neat as a pin, he is at least usually clean and presentable unless he's just been working. He's built rather like a firefighter. Little fat. Noticeable muscle from a life of hard work. He has gold tear markings under each of his eyes and running down his cheeks as do all his family members. He dresses himself in vivid colors, usually red, gold, white, and black. Unless he's in his lab-robes he tends to favor more savage-looking armor. He would rather intimidate than to actually have to harm someone.

Sotiris' eyes are faintly luminous, usually only visible in the dark, or if one is standing close to him. He also radiates an aura of heat.

Fashion of Choice: Traditional Kelari clothing. Sometimes a simple white robe, especially when working in the lab.
Armor of Choice: Chain hauberk, good sturdy gauntlets and boots. Not too fussy about protecting the head or top portions of the chest. He will sacrifice armor for mobility.
Weapons of Choice: Two handed warhammer, the Blessed Oathsmasher.

Special Abilities: Appreciable physical strength and endurance. Use of mantras and chants to disregard or work around pain, exhaustion, unwanted emotions, etc. Purge toxins out of the body except in very high quantities or concentrations. Self-healing. Immunity to the cold with the exception of certain Storm Legion magics.

Religion/Philosophy: Secretly (or semi-secretly) a worshiper of Mariel-Taun. Until recently, he was wholly devoted to his clan and his Matriarch. He was contented, and even proud to serve as a tool, doing whatever he was told. That mindset is rapidly breaking down. Lately, he has begun delving into the spirit-worship of non-Canto Kelari.

Positive Personality Traits: Stubborn; he will not give up once he has set his mind to something. He is not frightened of hard work or pain. He will patiently work at a challenge even when he can see no possible solution. Despair is a foreign concept to him. He tries not to judge. He has a voracious appetite for knowledge. He will carry out orders diligently even if he does not like them. He is very honest. He is accustomed to putting aside his own wants for the sake of others.

Negative Personality Traits: Often makes poor decisions due to not being permitted to make choices during his first life. He will often put the orders of authority figures above his own moral standards even when it is inappropriate to do so. He subscribes to the notion of self-sacrifice but has no reference for where that should end. He still thinks of martyrs as the height of glory. He does not deal with anger very well. His protectiveness of others can agitate them, especially if he estimates that they are weaker than he is.

Misc. Quirks: Strangely enough, Sotiris has become a means-to-an-end kind of person since he began working with tech. He will take solutions he really dislikes and implement them because he knows they will work. He has a tendency to completely disregard his own desires and this gives him a range of solutions not usually open to others. Most people see him as quite prudish but there are seemingly random things he's completely open about. Depending on his mood, he can behave in a very bawdy fashion. When he swings back into his introverted state of mind, he can be made to feel quite embarrassed about his previous actions. He's not afraid of many things but heavy objects landing on him terrifies him.

History:

Sotiris was born in Exchelsi Cardia, a port town in south-eastern Fire Isles. He was raised in the Canto family compound and taught the ways of the clan. As with all Canto, he was selectively bred for healing talents, a strong body, and a predisposition towards obedience. Effectively brainwashed, he was sent to the eastern fronts to heal on the battlefield. When at last the fighting became too much at the post was abandoned, he was among the last to retreat.

Sotiris died in the hold of the Anemo Anavatis when the Kelari made the Crossing en masse to the shores of Freemarch. He was ascended approximately twenty years later and sent back in time to stop Regulos from bringing about the end of the world.
